Prep time: 10 mins Cook time: 20 mins
Yield: 4 servings
Main Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 sweet onion, diced
1 lb white mushrooms, sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp MAHMI All-Purpose Seasoning
1-1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup sour cream
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt to taste, or 1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped and loosely packed
Egg noodles, 12 oz bag, optional
Recipe Steps:
Preparation: Chop the onions, mince the garlic, and slice the mushrooms. Set them aside.
Sautéing the Beef & Aromatics: Heat a large deep pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and break it into small pieces as it browns. Season with MAHMI All-Purpose Seasoning for a deep, savory flavor. Stir in the onions and garlic, sautéing for 3-5 minutes until fragrant and slightly translucent.
Cooking the Mushrooms & Thickening the Sauce: Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their juices and soften. Once the liquid has reduced by half, sprinkle in the flour and stir well, ensuring it’s fully incorporated with no lumps.
Building the Sauce: Gradually pour in the chicken broth, followed by the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. While the sauce is simmering, cook the egg noodles according to package directions.
Finishing Touches: Remove the pan from heat and stir in the sour cream until smooth. Add the cooked egg noodles and fresh parsley, tossing to coat everything in the rich, creamy sauce.
Serving: Serve hot and enjoy this comforting, flavorful dish!
