Broiled Salmon and Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce
This recipe is simple and east for the busy week night, yet fancy enough to serve your guest. The recipe is simple… brush the fillets with olive oil, season it with our MAHMI Zesty Garlic Mojo, then broil for just 8-10 minutes. The fish comes out so delicious, perfectly cooked and flaky, and that added butter sauce on top really seals the deal! The salmon and the sauce are both seasoned with our Zesty Garlic Mojo, and it adds the perfect amount of citrus to the dish, that enhances the flavors.
Prep time: 10 mins Cook time: 15 mins
Salmon Ingredients
2 Salmon large fillet
1-1/2 tsp mojo
2 tsp olive oil
Salt to taste
Garlic Butter Sauce
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp mojo sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
5 garlic minced
Recipe Steps
Preheat oven to broil.
Season salmon fillets with olive oil and MAHMI Zesty Garlic Moho seasoning and a pinch of salt.
To a large oven safe pan smear oil all over the base and inside of the pan.
With the stove burner off, add salmon fillets to the pan skin side down (this will help remove the skin). Then turn the heat up to medium.
Let the salmon fillets cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes until the base of the salmon starts to turn opaque pink.
Next add the pan into the oven, about 7-8 inches below the boiler, and cook for 8-10 minutes until the top of the salmon is golden and the salmon is cooked through. When you remove the salmon, the skin should be stuck to the pan for easy skin removal.
While the salmon is cooking in a small sauce pan on medium heat, add butter and garlic. Sauté the garlic in the butter for about 2 minutes until the garlic starts to become slightly opaque in color.
Next Reduce heat to medium low and stir in heavy cream, and 1 teaspoon of the Zesty Garlic Mojo Seasoning. Let the sauce cook for another 2 minutes until it thickens. Taste, and salt to taste.
Additional Notes
This broiled salmon pairs well with basmati or jasmine rice drenched in the creamy garlic butter sauce.
