Prep time: 10 mins   Cook time: 25 mins

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb trout, skin on and cleaned

  • 2 tbsp and 1 tsp olive oil

  • 1-1/2 tbsp MAHMI Garlic Mojo seasoning

  • Salt to taste

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 5 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 lemon, juice

  • 2 tbsp white wine

  • Parsley for garnish

Recipe Steps

  1. Cut trout into desired serving sizes, drizzle on 1 tsp olive oil and season the top of the trout fillets with 1 tbsp MAHMI Garlic Mojo seasoning; salt to your taste. Be sure to rub seasoning in throughly.

  2. In a large pan on medium heat, heat 1 tbsp olive oil. Once the oil is hot, place trout fillets in with the skin side up. Cook the top of the fillets for 4 minutes undisturbed, then flip the fillets skin side down and cook for another 4 minutes.

  3. By now the trout skins should be stuck to the pan. Using a spatula carefully remove the fillets from the skins; sliding the spatula between the trout meat and skin… Remove trout, and set aside.

  4. Next, reduce burner heat to medium-low and remove the pan from heat. Using a spatula remove the trout skins, and using a napkin lightly wipe whatever crisps are left behind.

  5. Add pan back to medium-low heat, along with 1 tbsp olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add in garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Next pour in white wine and cook for 1 minute, then add in butter, lemon juice, and ½ tbsp MAHMI Garlic Mojo seasoning. Mix well and simmer for 1-2 minutes.

  7. Add trout fillets back in the pan, and using a spoon, drench the fillets in the butter sauce for 1-2 minutes.

  8. Sprinkle on a little parsley for garnish and serve!
