BBQ Sauce

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup loosely packed red onions, sliced

  • 1 cup loosely packed sweet yellow pepper, sliced

  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup ketchup

  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp liquid smoke

  • 1/2 tbsp MAHMI Original All-Purpose Seasoning

Slider Buns

  • 1 pack of sweet Hawaiian slider buns

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1/4 tsp dried parsley flakes

  • Salt to taste, I used ⅛ tsp

  • Aged white cheddar cheese

Recipe Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350*F.

  2. Meanwhile in a large bowl, season chicken with 1 tbsp olive oil and MAHMI All-Purpose seasoning. Rub in seasoning well.

  3. Next in a large pan on medium heat, heat 1 tbsp olive oil. Once the oil is hot add in chicken tenders and cook undisturbed for 3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes, then remove tenders from the pan.

  4. To make the BBQ sauce, using the same pan, melt butter and olive oil. Add in red onions and sweet pepper, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until slightly translucent.

  5. Then add in brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, liquid smoke and ½ tbsp MAHMI All-Purpose seasoning. Stir well and simmer on medium heat for 1-2 minutes.

  6. Add chicken back into the pan, and drench tenderloins in BBQ sauce. Cover the pan with a lid, and simmer chicken in BBQ sauce for 3 minutes.

  7. Next turn heat off, and using 2 forks, shred chicken tenders to desired size, and mix well.

  8. In a small microwave safe bowl, melt 2 tbsp butter with ¼ tsp dried parsley and salt to taste.

  9. To a large casserole dish, fill the base of the dish with the slider bun bottoms. Using a basting brush, brush on a layer of the parsley butter.

  10. Then evenly layer the shredded BBQ chicken on the bun bottoms, followed by white cheddar cheese, and then the slider bun tops.

  11. Brush the parsley butter on the slider tops, cover the baking dish with foil, and bake in the oven for 15-17 minutes until the slider’s cheese has melted.

  12. Serve hot and enjoy!
